Thank you for expressing your interest in becoming a member of the Ballan & District branch of CWA Victoria & an active volunteer of your local community. The Moorabool Shire has an amazing community network and our branch is dedicated & passionate about supporting our local & surrounding communities. One of the marvellous things about being part of our community group, is that it enables us to welcome, connect & support people in ways we couldn't as individuals.

We are a warm, welcoming & friendly branch and we are always excited to see new members join our group. Our women come from a great range of diverse ages & backgrounds, so every woman is welcome. Below are 10 reasons why joining our Ballan & District CWA branch is a great idea.

'Our Flock' Poem

Our branch is like a flock of geese. We fly together, we support each other. We ‘honk’ & communicate with each other, even if we have to honk very loud. We provide a warm nest & help each other. And we rotate leadership to enable our members to grow wings and fly.

Our Branch 'Recipe' for Friendship​

  • 1 cup of encouragement

  • 3 cups of laughter

  • 2 tbsp of kindness

  • 1 mixed cup of life's joys and challenges

  • Mix well, then sprinkle in love and respect

  • Bake in a warm heat for a lifetime
